Marilyn
Thatcher, Ph.D.
Pediatric Neuropsychologist
Dr.
Thatcher holds a graduate degree from Stanford
University
with major academic emphasis in assessment of child development
and neuropsychological functioning as related to learning
and behavior, and has worked in her field for over thirty
years. Her doctoral dissertation was titled: An Application
of Piaget Theory to Autism. Initially a teacher and
school psychologist, she became interested in the underlying
brain development of childhood disorders. Dr. Thatcher
worked with the California Regional Center system for
many years in addition to teaching child development at
San Francisco State University.
Dr. Thatcher is currently traveling throughout the United
States presenting the most current information on autism,
Asperger';s disorder, Tourette';s syndrome, childhood
Bipolar disorder, ADHD, non-verbal learning disability,
and obsessive compulsive disorder. She maintains her private
practice which specializes in the assessment of children
with developmental challenges. Dr Thatcher is a life member
of the American Psychological Association and the National
Academy of Neuropsychology.
Kathleen
O'Shea, M.A.
Child Development Specialist, Director of Operations,

Kathleen
OShea is a child development specialist with
more
than twenty years of experience in the fields of early
childhood education and early childhood special
education. In addition to serving as a classroom teacher
and an early childhood intervention specialist, Kathleen
has a child with special needs - giving her a unique hands-on
perspective. She has provided education, understanding
and support to over two hundred children and families.
She is currently co-writing a children's book with her
oldest son.
Kathleen holds degrees from the University of California
Santa Barbara and Sonoma State University. She is a member
of the National Association for the Education of Young
Children and the council for Exceptional Children.
Cal
lives with his mom, dad, and two brothers in Ashland,
Oregon. He's got a dog Jill, two cats named Tally and
Sally. He also has a dog named Charlie. And he's got a
grumpy cat, Sampson (aka "Grammar"). His brother
has a rat named Dumbo. She's in the picture with Cal
